Athletics:
Sharon is consistently named as a USAT All American Triathlete. Some of her most recent accomplishments include a 2nd place AG (55-59) finish at her first attempt at Ironman, IM New Zealand where she set the bike course record in a time of 5:46.30, 8th in (55-59) AG in IM World Championships in Kona in 2016, 3rd in 2016 USAT National Triathlon Championships with fastest Senior Bike Split (55+), 2015 Queen of the Mountain at B2VT (50 +), fastest AG bike splits in all Triathlon World within the last 4 years (London, Edmonton, Chicago). As part of her IM training last year, she was one of 11 cyclists to complete the grueling “Pain in the Mass” bike ride, a 150 mile ride with Mt. Greylock as it’s ½ way point.
Professional:
Head Coach of Breakaway Triathlon and Cycling. Sharon is a, Level 2 USA Cycling Coach, USA Triathlon Certified Coach and a RRCA certified run coach. She has an extensive background in strength, swim & cycling training, sport specific technique training, and is currently the Head Track Coach for the Merrimack Valley Striders, a 500+ member running club.
